Viv Gee has performed stand-up from L.A. to Bangkok, and has compered at festivals such as T in The Park and Glasgow’s New Year Celebrations to 64000 people.
She was a nominee for the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Awards 2025 and was awarded the Lord Provost’s 850 award for her contribution to Glasgow’s comedy community the same year.
In 2014 Viv was the recipient of the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Comedy at the inaugural Scottish Comedy Awards. She is also a So You Think Your Funny and BBC Open Mic Award Finalist.
TV and radio credits include The Comedy Underground, Lorraine Kelly’s Make Me Happier, The Good, the Bad and the Unexpected, River City, The Today Show, Revolver, Hedz and Stake Out. She also co-wrote and starred in the six-part sitcom The Gates for BBC Radio Scotland.
Co-writer of Berlin Short Film Festival Jury Award-winning film, Carry Me Home, she was also “The Most Boring Woman in The World” in the Best Digital Short of the same name at the KinoFilm Festival.
Viv is a trained actor and poet. Her poems have been published in magazines, on the Glasgow Subway, and embedded into stone at the Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow.
For over 25 years, Viv has been directing and teaching performance skills with universities, businesses, community groups, and individuals.
